The part after the '?' is called a query string. It's hard to read. It has a few security issues that can be exploited. And search engines don't enjoy reading and following them.
The alternative is called 'Clean Urls'. Clean urls are easy to read. Clean urls are search engine friendly. Clean urls are what you want your real estate website to build when creating links to properties:
